Data Analysis

The Data Analysis team partners with university leadership and departments to answer complex questions and support evidence based decision making. We dig into challenging problems, connect information across sources, and deliver insights that help Georgetown plan for the future.

Data Governance

The Data Governance team ensures Georgetown’s data is accurate, consistent, and responsibly managed. The team provides service management for the overall Data Strategy organization and oversees the Data Governance Center, the single source of truth for all university data governance and stewardship activities.

  • Define and maintain data governance standards, policies, and stewardship roles
  • Manage the Data Governance Center to centralize documentation and definitions
  • Promote transparency, accountability, and trust in how university data is used

Data Engineering

The Data Engineering team builds and maintains Georgetown’s common data repository by integrating, modeling, and transforming information from many systems into the university’s data lake and data warehouse. Our work provides the technical foundation for reliable reporting and analysis.

  • Ingest data from multiple Georgetown sources
  • Transform and model data to ensure it is accurate and consistent
  • Manage pipelines that move data securely into the data lake and warehouse

Business Intelligence

The Business Intelligence (BI) team manages Georgetown’s enterprise reporting tools and develops dashboards and reports that support data-driven decision making across the university. We make data accessible and meaningful by turning complex information into clear, interactive, and actionable insights.

  • Manage and support enterprise BI platforms
  • Develop university wide dashboards and reports for strategic and operational use
  • Provide training and resources so users can confidently work with BI tools
